We were retained by an American client that was looking to purchase an apartment in Recoleta.  He looked around for 2 weeks and couldn't find a "move in ready" apartment.  So we located an older apartment but it needed to be renovated.  Our client also retained us to renovate it and it turned into a beautiful apartment. It has been an amazing rental and the value on it has more than doubled since purchase.
